THE WORK PACKAGE

Diesel Fuel Piping & Day Tanks for industrial facilities

V Forge supports fuel-line installation and day-tank integration within industrial mechanical and powerhouse packages. The scope is planned around the approved fuel-system arrangement, the transfer equipment and safe access for inspection and maintenance. Responsibilities for tank supply, controls, protective systems and operational release should be agreed before execution begins.

Project location, quantities, design responsibilities and supply/installation boundaries are confirmed during scope review. Share the available drawings and BOQ through the Project Desk to start the discussion.

SCOPE & INTERFACES

What the installation needs to address

Fuel supply and return pipework

Routing and installation of specified fuel lines between the storage or day-tank arrangement, transfer equipment and generator connections. Supply, return and other required lines are identified from the approved layout.

Day-tank connections

Inlet, outlet and other specified interfaces are coordinated with the tank details and surrounding equipment. Required vents, drains, overflow arrangements and access provisions follow the approved design and project scope.

Pumps, strainers and valves

Transfer pumps, strainers, isolation valves and related accessories are installed with attention to connection alignment, support, direction of flow and the space needed for servicing.

Protection and equipment interfaces

Pipe supports, protected crossings, flexible connections and generator-side interfaces are reviewed against the approved drawings. Controls and electrical connections are included only where expressly part of the agreed package.

FROM DRAWINGS TO HANDOVER

Plan the details before site execution

Our execution method ↗
01

Define the complete scope

Share tank and generator information, the fuel-system schematic, elevations, route lengths, transfer-pump requirements, material specification and the BOQ. State whether the installation is new or tied into an operating system.

02

Coordinate work in an operating plant

Isolation, draining, work permits, temporary arrangements and reinstatement must be planned with the site team. Any hot work or modification is subject to the site safety requirements and approved procedure.

03

Inspection and functional checks

Checks are agreed to suit the fuel-system design and may include joint and support inspection, leak testing, flushing or cleaning, pump operation and controls/interface checks. Commissioning responsibilities should be stated in the scope.

QUOTATION BRIEF

Send the information you already have

A defined scope helps identify missing interfaces, inclusions and site constraints before pricing.

  • Fuel-system schematic and route drawings
  • Generator, tank and transfer-pump details
  • Material specification and BOQ quantities
  • Control and electrical scope boundaries
  • Isolation, access and shutdown requirements

PRACTICAL QUESTIONS

Before you request a quotation

Does the scope include the day tank and transfer pump?

It can be reviewed as a combined package, but supply, installation, controls and testing responsibilities must be listed in the quotation. A piping-only package does not automatically include tank fabrication or controls.

Can you connect new equipment to an existing fuel system?

Existing-system connections can be reviewed after the system condition, isolation method, drawings and permitted work window are understood. Site approval and safe working arrangements are required.

How is fuel-piping material selected?

The approved specification, fuel service, pressure, exposure and equipment requirements determine pipework and fittings. Final material and protection details are agreed before procurement.
